The Scarpa Rapid GTX is a waterproof approach shoe designed for fast moving approaches over technical terrain. At just 320g per shoe (size 42) the Rapid GTX is almost running shoe weight, in fact if you like to take in more technical scrambles on your mountain runs then this is the shoe for you. The GORE-TEX insert provides waterproofing against wet and boggy ground and in winter months will add warmth to the shoe.
The Rapid GTX is made from a breathable synthetic mesh with a tough TPU overlay to provide protection and durability. The VIBRAM Mega grip sole provides traction over most surfaces including wet rock and features a climbing zone on the toe for precise foot placements. The Rapid GTX has a precise wrapped feeling fit thanks to the internal Sock-Fit LW by SCARPA construction system that avoids compression points, wrapping the foot and ensuring greater lateral stability.
