Full Description
The Ortovox Free Rider 28 is a large size pack for days in the backcountry with a strong focus on usability and rapid access to features and kit. Made from 400 denier recycled polyamide the Free Rider 28 is durable and climate neutral as all CO2 emissions from its production have been offset by Ortovox. The comfortable, padded shoulder straps combined with the elasticated Clasp Flex Belt distribute the weight of the pack evenly while keeping it very stable.
The Free Rider 28 fits extra snugly against the back when freeriding in any terrain preventing snarl ups on lifts and aiding your balance on descent. In order to optimally adjust the backpack in seconds, it can be quickly compressed using the integrated side straps and folded into a flat-fitting second skin on the back. When it comes to more technical terrain, rappelling into steep gullies or short walking passages, the Free Rider 28 has attachment options for skis, an ice axe or rope.
The Free Rider 28 features an external helmet carry net, emergency card and is hydration bladder compatible. Separate from the main compartment is an easy access avi gear carry compartment for you shovel and probe. This pack is also compatible with Ortvox's Clasp Spine protector.
