Nikwax TX Direct is a replacement Durable Water Repellancy (DWR) coating for use on waterproof garments. DWR is the treatment that make water bead on the outside of garments. Over time this can be washed or worn away, reducing the breathability of the waterproof membrane. Spraying your waterproof clothing with TX Direct after washing will revitalise its performance and bring back the amazing beading effect.

Regular cleaning will enhance the performance of your gear. With regular cleaning, you should be able to clean your gear 5-6 times with Nikwax Tech Wash before it requires re-waterproofing. When Nikwax Tech Wash alone does not revitalise the Durable Water Repellency of your gear it's time to re-waterproof using the Nikwax TX Direct.

Machine Wash	Hand Wash (use gloves)
For best results remove all non-washable parts and always clean items first with Nikwax Tech Wash in a separate wash cycle. No need to dry items before waterproofing. Remove all detergent build-up from the detergent dispenser. Place maximum 2 items in washing machine. Use 100ml per garment. Run 30�C synthetic cycle and slow spin.	Immerse 1 clean garment in 6L of hand-hot water in a bowl or sink. Add 50ml of TX.Direct Agitate to mix, leave to soak for 5-10 minutes, then agitate thoroughly. Rinse with cold water until water runs clear.
