The Buffalo Special 6 is slightly larger, longer version of the Classic Buffalo Mountain Shirt. Cut 5cm longer to allow more rain run off the Special 6 is ideal for taller users. The Special 6 is designed to replace a layering system with one jacket to keep you warm and dry in all conditions. The Special 6 consists of an outer shell made from Pertex Quantum with a thick AquaTherm pile lining. While none of the constituent parts are waterproof in the same sense a shell jacket, the combination of windproof outer and extremely fast wicking pile lining will keep you warm and dry in very wet conditions. Buffalo recommend that the Special 6 performs best when worn next to the skin.
The Special 6 features a high pile lined collar to protect against cold wind and there are touch and close attachment points for the Double Pile Hood (sold separately). The neck can be opened up to dump excess heat when working hard but is covered with a storm flap to prevent heat loss when closed. The Special 6 is donned by opening up the side zips, which also double as storm flap protected vents. There are two zipped hand warmer pockets and a large front pouch pocket for maps and other essentials. The waist can be adjusted with a tape and buckle system. Finally the hem is 10cm longer at the back to provide additional protection and prevent the shirt riding up. When purchasing your Special 6 please pay close attention to the size guide. The shirt should be close fitting without being restrictive.

Customer Reviews of Buffalo Special 6 Shirt
Great piece of kit!My last one,I gave my last one to the homeless as it was hung up with one side facing the sun and faded so it was olive one side and sea sick face colour on the other. I wore it next to skin in piss down up Big Bad Ben and was dry,and toasty. On Kily it was part of a layer as it is a wee hair chilly at 22,000 feet!!Fine on Monte Bianco with a wee bit of help from a Mammut jacket. We were issued with black one in MSU:PSNI. New one only worn once as too warm. I have a red one somewhere but can’t find it!I hope that I didn’t give it to the homeless too!I must get a hood! How much are they. Classic example of “If it’s not broken;don’t fix it!” Extra length feels a bit funny but should be grand! As we say in Ireland “Keep her lit!!
