Customer Reviews of Black Diamond Guide Glove
Fantastic pair of cold weather ski gloves.Very well made and comfortable to wear
I have long thought that Black Diamond make the best gloves. The Guide glove has several advantages. The shell and liner are easily detached which provides a great number of options.I wore a lighter inner glove with just the Guide Glove shell fro high performance windproof and grip. The inner liner has been well designed with a good wool layer at the back of the hand but lighter material at the front to enhance grip. The shell and liner easily separate and go back together - none of the problems that can often occur with the liner fingers not fitting the outer easily.
I had a x-large and I do recommend getting a size larger than you might normally take. This gives more movement inside the glove and avoids the fit being too tight which restricts blood flow and leads to cold hands.
The long cuff provides a good overlap to a jacket and is an important feature of this glove.Too many gloves come up short but this delivers with eth consequence of a good overlap and seal between wrist and hand - again important for keeping warm.
In my view, if you are looking for a serious glove to provide warmth, flexibility with durability and performance then this is the one to buy.
