Black Diamond Distance 15

The Black Diamond Distance 15 pack is a day pack designed for fast moving mountain activities. The Distance 15 is a hybrid between a small climbing summit or day pack and a running vest. If you are planning on moving fast and light in the mountains and on technical terrain & scrambles this is the pack for you. The vest style carry system prevents pack bounce when running. The main 15L compartment is on the large side for a running pack but will carry everything you need for a day out. At just 361g the Distance 15 is also small and light enough to be rolled up and carried in a larger pack for summit pushes or multi pitch routes.

The running vest style shoulder straps are constructed from a totally breathable mesh and stitch-less edge taping for comfort. There are two flask pockets designed for soft flasks as well as two zippered chest pockets. There the straps meet the side of the pack there is and adjustable elastic cord system to ensure a secure fit while running.

The main 15L compartment is constructed from PFC-Free 200 denier ripstop Nylon, the same stuff that Black Diamond make their climbing quickdraws from. The top opening is drawcord style with a strap and hook to cinch down. Elasticated side compression cord will keep the contents securely in place and also pairs with metal dogbones and a pick protector at the bottom of the pack as an Ice Axe carry system. Down either side of the pack are pole quiver sleeves which work best with Black Diamonds Z-Pole design. Inside the main compartment is a mesh divider to hold a water bladder and a small zippered pocket for valuables.
