The Black Diamond Crampon bag is a simple, semi rigid design which will fit any collapsible crampons. The bag is constructed from tough coated nylon fabric with a zippered mesh lid for drainage and easy access. This is a great way of protecting your gear and yourself against crampon damage.
The bag is also ideal for carrying other spiky things like ice screws and spare picks or for keeping your touring skins in.

This crampon bag is great for what it is, there are no incredible features making it excel particularly over any other brand's alternative, but it certainly get's the job done. The bag fits my Black Diamond Seracs really snug, with a little extra room for bolts and other bits and pieces I need to have handy. One thing I would like to have had in the bag is a small pocket inside, that can be sealed to store such items securely. There are various loops on the outside of the bag that could be used as attachment points to a rucksack or other gear and the mesh lid allows for good drainage of wet crampons. All in all the product serves it's most important use of keeping the sharp points covered, protecting the rest of the gear in my pack.

Excellent crampon bag, good durable construction with decent protection to prevent the spikes doing damage to other bits of kit, mesh top will be useful for drying the crampons quickly as well. Only slight negative is that the bag is too small to get a larger pair of crampons in. I could not get both my Grivel G12 New Matics into the one bag, so I had to buy 2 of these, smaller or lower profile crampons should both be able to fit into 1 bag though.
