All our avalanche transceivers are sold with the latest firmware version however over time manufacturers do release updates to their systems. Please see the table below to find the type of service that we can offer for your Mammut transceiver. Most newer transceivers will connect to your smartphone by Bluetooth and are updatable by this method.

These services are free (£7.50 p&p not included) to customers who purchased their transceivers from Facewest. Mammut transceiver servicing is £30.00 for customers who purchased their transceiver elswhere.
A Mammut Transceiver service consists of an update if necessary and full diagnostic check. If a fault is discovered on your device then we will take one of the following steps:
- Your Device is in warranty and was purchased from facewest.co.uk. We will process the warranty claim and work with Mammut for you.
- Your Device is out of warranty and was purchased from facewest.co.uk. We will contact Mammut for you to arrange a quote for repair work or replacement. The customer is responsible for payment of repair work.
- Your Device is in warranty but not purchased from facewest. We will return your device to you with the test report and recommend that you contact your retailer to begin the warranty process.
- Your device is out of warranty and not purchased from facewest.co.uk. We will return your device to you with the test report.
In the cases of 3 & 4 the customer is still responsible for payment of the £30.00 service fee plus £7.50 return postage.
In order to have your transceiver upgraded and/or serviced, please fill out our Transceiver Update Request Form and post it to us with an insured delivery service such as Special Delivery. This will ensure that you are insured against loss or damage in transit. We will contact you once we have updated your transceiver to take payment, arrange the return and take your shop order if you want to do that.
