The Arcteryx Gamma MX Pant are heavier winter softshell pants, providing excellent levels of warmth and comfort when you're working hard. They are suited to multiple mountain activities and are great for skiing, alpine climbing or winter trekking.
The Fortius fabric has a DWR coating to help shed moisture, but is membrane-free meaning the Gamma MX Pants are very breathable, essential for any activity where you are working hard but still want protection from the elements. The fabric is stretchy, so it gives great freedom of movement and is also backed with a mid-weight fleece, to give an extra bit of warmth. The instep areas have patches of reinforced Keprotec which is a tough fabric that will prevent ski edges or crampons from cutting or snagging the trousers.

Customer Reviews of Arcteryx Gamma MX Pant (Winter 19)
Great pants, speedy service and good price!
The MX Gamma lived up to what I was hoping for and compliment the two Gamma MX jackets that I have. The quality is typical Arcteryx and the cut works for me. I'd perviously tried a pair in XL and found them too big, so had ordered the L, but had half expect to be between sizes and find the L too tight - I'm 6'1, 230lbs, with large thighs and a 36-38 waist. I was really please to find they fitted perfectly, even on the thighs, where they are a close, but not too tight a fit. The waist is high, which avoids the gap at the back when you bend over.
I've not tested the pants out in really harsh weather yet, but they seem warm, windproof and water resistant - everything that I want from a soft shell.
