The Thermarest Trail Lite is the lightest sleeping mat in the Trek and Trail series from Thermarest. The Trail Lite comes in two sizes, both of which are reasonably compact compared to other mats in the series. Compactness combined with comfort makes this one of the best all round self inflating mattresses from Thermarest, ideal not only for car camping but also suitable for backpacking, particularly the regular size. The Trail Lite is a three season mat that is designed to be light, if you require a greater level of insulation then the Trail Pro would possibly be a better choice, please see related products.
The Trail Lite is a classic-style Thermarest mat using die-cut foam which provides a warm and comfortable mat. Easily inflated by opening the valve the mattress will self inflate in a few minutes, but you'll always have to give it a couple of breaths to finish it of.

Thermarest Trail Lite Review
Reviewer: Andrew Gilmour, Haddington (12-5-2012)
Bought this as an upgrade from a foam rollmat back when I was a scout, coming up for 7 years ago, originally for scout camps but has now seen much more varied use, being taken away for multi-day hiking trips in the UK and Europe. It's a fantastically well-made piece of kit which just does it's job, and does it well! It packs up small enough, but when inflated is very comfortable even on some of the most rocky or rooted ground.
It's also very easy to repair 'in the field' which is hugely useful, should you puncture it. Only downside I see is the weight - it's definitely heavier than a foam rollmat, but the comfort difference wins it over for me!
