Petzl Reverso Belay Device £16.00

The Reverso from Petzl was designed with the multi pitch and winter climber in mind. It can be used as a conventional belay plate attached to the harness or as an auto lock plate attached direct to the belay.The Reverso is also incredibly light.
The Reverso can be used as a normal belay device as in fig 1.
It can also be used as an auto locking belay attached direct to an anchor as in fig 2. In this mode it can be used to bring up one or two seconds independantly. Used like this it is very easy to take in the slack on one or both ropes.
The Reverso is very smooth for abseiling, does not twist the rope and keeps the two strands seperated.
It can be used with a single rope 10-11mm and with double ropes 8-9mm
