The Thermarest NeoAir Mini Pump is a great little extra for those that are not watching weight, not that it weighs a lot. It can be attached to any mattress in the NeoAir range via the grey nozzle. Attaching the pump sets it running and your NeoAir will be inflated in around 3 minutes.
When not in use the Mini Pump can be stashed away not taking up to much room. A great choice for travellers.

Customer Reviews of Thermarest NeoAir Mini Pump
Cracking little device, knocked one star off because it's a bit on the pricey side, well worth having though.
You have to question yourself, do I need the pump? I did for 3 weeks but only for the price of the item really.
People say moisture damages the mat, others say the pump is a welcome luxury.
My luxury was my NeoAir mat and the pump is a simple addition that fits in the top of the mat sack when packed away. The weight is negligible, simple to use and a few breaths at the end to get your preferred firmness.
Yes a luxury but after difficult or tiring days it's a welcome addition to my wild camping gear.
Cannot comment on battery life, only used 3 times in succession with no issues.
This little device is nice and small. It doesn't inflate my thermorest all the way. It inflates to a certain point and then you have to finish it off with about 6 strong breaths. It does mean you can get on with setting up other things whilst this little thing does the majority of the inflating. You don't have to worry about it overinflating your mat, it isn't strong enough for that. Battery life is good. Personally I think this is a lot of money for what it does.
I was amazed by the tiny size and light weight of this pump when it arrived and doubted its ability to inflate my large Neo Air Camper mattress. However, it does a really good job - plug it into the mattress and carry on setting up camp whilst it does its stuff.I needed a couple of breaths at the end to get the mattress to the firmness I like.
However, it doesn't get five stars as this is a LOT of money for such a simple, small, plastic gadget.
It came a couple of days sooner than expected and works just fine. It is light, 65g including the batteries, and filled my Neoair Trekker in about 3mins.
If you like your pad hard, you'll have to add a couple of breaths, but for me it's just about right without.
The one down side is, it doesn't work in reverse, so you have to squeeze the air out manually.
A great piece of kit; wish I had had one years ago!
I am currently preparing for a trek up Kilimanjaro and have decided to replace my self expanding Thermarest mat, with a newer Thermarest NEO Xtherm. However realised that this isn't a self inflating mat, and to be fair the bag pump system that comes with the mat isn't the easiest to use.
I look around and found the mini pump. It's very quick to use, self contained, you just open it up and it starts, and then attach it to the mat.Its very quick and can inflate a mat fast.
I don't know how long the batteries last just yet but no doubt I will shortly.
Its a little pricey for the size, but for me its one of those luxuries that I will enjoy after a hard days hiking!
I held back from purchasing this for sometime due to what I considered to be a high price for what is really just a motor incased in a cheap plastic enclosure. That said, Facewest was the cheapest I could find, even more so when taking into account their free P&P and award points.
I had previously purchased and used both the NeoAir Pump Sack and AirTap, but I found both a little awkward to use particularly in bad weather when you are confined to the inside of a small tent.
However, the NeoAir Mini Pump works a beautifully, inflating the NeoAir mattress (medium size) in a few minutes and only requiring a couple of breaths to top if off. It is very light at just 65g including 2 lithium batteries (not supplied), little more that the weight of a Mars Bar (which probably contains the calories you need to blow up the mat by mouth!).I have used it a dozen or more times and the batteries are still going strong. The negatives, aside from its high price, are that it appears a little fragile so it needs to be packed and treated with care. It is an indulgence particularly when lightweight backpacking, but one that I do not regret as it takes away the hassle of inflating a NeoAir mat at the end of a long hard day walking in the Highlands and for some unknown reason it always brings a smile to my face.
Great little pump that does the job, it's quiet and functional, very small and light weight.Stops the need to breath inflation of a mat which I see as a really good thing. My only negative would be that it can't be used to deflate the mat
