Description
The Thermarest LuxuryLite Mesh Cot is a lightweight camping bed ideal if you want to sleep off the ground outside in warmer weather or for inside use. It features a mesh sheet tensioned by a series of folding aluminium stays to give a sturdy, lightweight bed. It comes with a deluxe carry case which is large enough to fit the the cot feet and bows inside when still assembled, so you don't have to take the whole thing apart every time.
The stays on the Mesh Cot are twin bar bowed stays tensioned between plastic connector rings, this may sound complicated but it's actually very simple. Watch the product videos for a demonstration of how the bed goes together. It does take a few minutes to assemble and disassemble the cot so it might not be ideal for backpacking trips however if you're staying in one place at a hut or campsite then it's fantastic.
Please also watch second video which shows one way in which you can damage your cot when packing it up which is easily avoided.

Customer Reviews of Thermarest LuxuryLite Mesh Cot
Great conceptually and not a bad product. Please watch the video because it is easy to rip the mesh when assembling. I will be reinforcing mine with tape. Comfortable, light and compact.
I bought one of these camp beds after quite a lot of research. It was purchased as my partner has a back problem (two prolapsed discs) which has curtailed any recent camping. Even top of the range self inflating beds were very uncomfortable. The bed was assembled as soon as it arrived - not sure what all the reviews about the complexity of assembly are about - it was quite simple and the instructions were well written. We were so pleased with the bed that I ordered (and have received) one for myself.
Lovely not too bulky, easy set up. I found using the stand astride the vertical poles with the bed upside down and pulling from the middle of the leg poles a winner. The facewest video is OK, however thermarests own YouTube videos are a more helpful.
It's really comfortable and stable I bought extra spares and use all of the fixing points in the double pole configuration with an Outwell dreamboat matress when car camping and spare bed for house guests, its lovely and comfortable no problem with aching hips or shoulders in the morning anymore!
The mesh construction will cool you down through the night if that's what you are looking for. However it's a bit like sleeping on 70s garden loungers the artificial wicker variety. It's not a problem putting a micro towel down around your face and hand area gets rid of dirrect contact to the marerial.
Good buy highly recommend.
Excellent, sturdy and very easy to put up.
I have looked everywhere for a light weight and easily packable camp bed, and thanks to Facewest I found and purchased the Thermarest LuxuryLite Mesh Cot, this bed weighs in at an incredible 1.7kg and packs down really small, ideal for use when myself and my wife go touring Europe on our motorcycle, whilst certainly not the cheapest camp bed I have seen the LuxuryLite ticks all of the boxes, light weight, small pack size and easy to assemble and disassemble (do view the video on this site that shows a possible flaw that could lead to damage).
When in the supplied stuff sack it is small enough to easily fit into a pannier and it only adds minimal weight to our kit. This bed is very comfortable and supports your backvery well allowing for a comfortable sleep.
In total we are going to need two of these beds and I have no worries about buying a second.I would certainly recommend these beds to anyone who needs the comfort of a proper camp bed but needs minimal weight and a small pack size.
