The Suunto M9 Wrist Compass provides a hands free solution to navigation allowing you to move quickly over testing terrain. The M9 is secured to your wrist using the Velcro strap that passes through the unbreakable brass buckle.
The M9 can be used as a sighting compass by using the side reading window and sight on the opposite side. This allows a bearing to be taken on a distant object. The bezel has a serrated grip and a ratchet so it's easy to use in cold wet weather, often when you'll need it most. The face of the M9 is totally luminous for use at night and in darker conditions.

Customer Reviews of Suunto M9 Wrist Compass
I use a wrist compass a lot when ski touring or walking with poles in poor visibility. This example is about as good as it gets for an 'off the shelf' product. I like the sighting feature and the only concern I've found is that it does have to be quite level to read accurately. The strap is nice and long to wear on the outside of your shell jacket sleeve and is secure. The body is quite small but I see this as an advantage as wearing something too large on your wrist just gets caught rucksack straps etc. A bit more tolerance on the reading level and it would be 5 star.
