The Sea to Summit Ascent range of sleeping bags are adapatbale, lightweight down filled sleeping bags for a range of conditions. Their use of durable but lightweight materials and small pack size make the Ascent range ideal for cycle tourers and backpackers. With a range of closure options the Ascent series also make great basecamp bags or valley bottom bags as you can open them out to make a quilt in warmer conditions.
The lightweight 20D nylon outer ensures that the down inside the bag lofts fully. The Ascent II uses sewn through construction to minimise weight with vertical chest baffles to ensure that down does not migrate to the outside edges during the night. The Down used in the Ascent range is 750+FP responsibly sourced RSD ULTRA-DRY Down treated water repellent down. This protects the down from moisture and ensures a longer lifespan, it down not mean that the Down is waterproof.
The Ascent II features an adaptable Free-FLow triple zip design. This is a full length left zip, half length right zip and a thrid zip foot zip. Providing a wide range of ventilation options for different sleepers and the option to open out completely into a quilt. The tapered rectangular shape and oversized hood provide pleny of room even with everything zipped up and cinched in for maximum warmth.
