The Petzl Spirit Express Quickdraw is perhaps the most widely known dedicated sport climbing quick draw on the market. The original version was in production for well over a decade and was used to put up a fair number of the world's hardest routes. Don't worry if you're a fan of the original though, they've been careful to maintain everything that made the Spirit Express such an enduring classic.
The Spirit carabiners use an I-beam construction but retain the same gate shape and smooth nose profile which gave the spirit its legendary clipping action. The lower bent gate carabiner has a wide 25mm opening and clean nose design to prevent snagging. The slings have an ergonomic shape making them easy to grab when working a route. All in all, the best sport draw on the planet just got a little better.

Customer Reviews of Petzl Spirit Express Quickdraw
I have only recently started indoor lead climbing and bought six of these quickdraws. These quickdraws are heavier than wire gate quickdraws which I have found to be an advantage as the additional weight facilitates greater control when clipping into the wall. With both carabiners having a solid gate I felt that regardless of the height or angle you are at, you can easily clip the rope in with enough room to use a finger to steady it when swinging.
I have not experienced a single issue to date and would highly recommend them to anyone looking to purchase easy to use and tough quickdraws.
Best sport biner ever, super smooth operation. For those hard to reach clips you can easily slap this biner on the hanger and buy yourself a few inches. Likewise, can easily clip the rope through the bent-gate without even touching the gate; nice if draw is swinging and you need your middle finger to stabilize it.
I used my Spirits for 5 years and the biners still work smooth. If weight is not so important there is no better quickdraw for sport climbing.
As it says on the tin, the best sport quickdraw out there.
Nice fat tape for dogging up those hard routes, great rope clipping crab which is bent just enough to make clipping easy. They're surprisingly light for sport quickdraws too, which really impressed me!
The price is pretty steep, but once you buy a set, they should last you a long time. If you're looking to buy now and never buy again, these are the weapons of choice.
Petzl has definitely outdone itself here. Weighing very little, you feel no difference when your rack is composed of Petzl spirit's.The shape and width of the quickdraws makes it easy to clip it onto the bolt and the rope. Compared to other draws, eg. CAMP ones, they seem expensive but the performance really lives up to the price.
