Full Description
The Petzl Dual Connect Adjust has a descriptive name; it has 2 connectors, one of which is on an adjustable length of rope, with the other being a fixed length. This system is ideal for setting up abseils and multiple abseils as well as quickly securing yourself to an anchor when mountaineering and multi pitch climbing.
The adjustment device is a simple auto block and works just like a belay plate being used in guide mode, this means it locks when under load but allows slack to be pulled through easily to shorten the length of your lanyard. The lanyard is a dynamic rope so will absorb shock in the event of a small fall, however it is not designed to withstand a fall from above an anchor point (factor 1). Under no circumstances should it be used for Via Ferrata.
