The Nordisk Mos Down Shoes are lightweight and warm down insulated slippers for use in mountain huts, in your tent or your camper van. After a freezing day with your feet squished into ski boots or kicking your crampons into bullet hard ice, there really is nothing better than warming your toes up in some cosy down shoes.
Duck down filled providing your feet with ultimate insulation. The shoes are light and extremely packable, making them a luxury you can afford to carry on multi-day trips and expeditions. The sole of the Mos shoes is constructed with an anti-slip pattern making it ideal for use on hut floors. Elastic around the tops seals heat into your feet. The shoes also come with a carry bag for easy storage and transportation.
These are designed as lightweight hut slippers for occasional use. They are not robust enough for everyday household use.
Each of the colours has a different outer fabric, however this makes no difference to the functionally to the slippers. They are fabric remnants from sleeping bag production so do have slightly different properties. These are as follows:

These camping slippers are ideal for all ages. They are easy to put on and they are light,warm and secure on the foot.

Wow the Nordisk Mos Down Shoe have just arrived really well made, fantastic quality, the outer sole is more durable than my previous trek mates down slippers. I bought the orange colour, which is more a copper colour but really beautiful. They have a nice soft fleece lining and the nordisk logo on the sole which provides the traction. The nordisk mos down slipper in a large including mesh bag (which is also very nice) is 194 grams in weight. The fabric is very soft to touch. I think that the sole would stand up to the occasional trip outside the tent in the snow as I mentioned earlier. The sole does appear to be a little bit more durable than my more hut slippers. All in all they're fabulous.

I bought these for my wife as a Christmas present as she suffers from cold feet even around the house. With the recent cold snap, I couldn't watch her suffer any more and so she got them early. She loves them and they keep her feet nice and toasty! !

I bought these for my husband for Christmas as he suffers from very cold feet. I have given them to him early as this has been a problem. He is currently wearing them over the hut boots I bought him last year from Facewest and they are a wonderful combination. His feet are toasty warm and comfortable.

I bought these as a result of my last ski-touring trip where we were the victims of callous hüttenschuh robbery in the boot room. So, these seemed the perfect solution to using the hut-provided slippers. They are superb, and the mesh zip pouch provided is really handy as well. However, be careful of sizing. I'm a 44. 5/45, and so ordered the Large. They were huge. So I probably need the Mediums. Great hut slippers.

Pros: They are light weight, compact and comfortable and can be rolled up for packing, which is perfect for alpine mountaineering. They keep your feet warm too. Cons: They are not very robust compared to the North Face alternative, especially the sole. They are perfectly adequate for inside the tent/hut/house. Absolutely not for venturing out, not even to pick up the newspaper. My feet also sweat within 5 minutes of wearing them, perhaps this is my feet rather than the product. The sizing runs large, so be aware when buying. I'd go one size down. I bought a medium for my size 8 feet and they are probably 2 sizes too big.

I bought the Nordisk Mos Down Shoe as a present for my mother since she is always feet-freezing at home. I chose the red ones because their upper was much stronger, although they are very soft and flexible. They are very light and manageable and warm enough. I am sure that I have made a very very good choice. My mother is very happy with them at home. The size is in the long side (small fits up to 39 EU)

I often suffer from cold feet while camping (despite using a decent sleeping bag) so have been looking for a pair of down socks (or similar) for a while. These came up in an internet search I did and looked like they might fit the bill and were a lot cheaper than Rab or PHD down socks. The manufacturer and others made comments that they weren't slippers and the soles would wear out if they were used as such (which would not be a problem for my intended use so) I took the plunge. Delivery was prompt from Facewest (as usual) and the package was promisingly compact and light but when I opened it the contents had much more in common with my existing North Face tent mules than the beefed up down socks I was hoping for. This is probably my own fault for misinterpreting the description but I am a bit disappointed and my search for some warm, insulated tent socks at a reasonable price goes on. To sum up, if you're looking for an attractive, well made, good value pair of light weight slippers/hut shoes then these will fit the bill. If you're looking for a pair of down socks with a minimal sole that you can wear in your tent and in your sleeping bag look elsewhere. At least I have a spare pair of travel slippers now!

I am a Scout Troop Leader and I'm always on at the Scouts about not wearing outdoor shoes in tents. I had been looking for and at Tent Slippers for a while - all either too cheap and nasty or over priced. Googled and Googled and Googled, came across Nordisk Mos Down shoes, read the reviews, checked out Nordisk co So that's how I chose them. . . Now the Review, short and simple. Imagine 20ft high neon lights saying Fantabulus OR I could rant on for ages on how wonderful these are! ! ! They are soft, warm, slept at minus 2 in my Bivi Bag with them on. Woke up with warm toasty feet. They pack down to almost nothing. They wash well, and dried really quickly. Light weight and are in my bushcraft/ camping pack ready for my next trip. i'm so happy with them and the fantastic service from Facewest, i'm going to order another pair for use in the house.
