Full Description
The Coll-Tex Pro Skin is essentially a sock for you to store your skins in. A 3D version of skin netting. Not exactly essential but so much easier to use than netting and much more robust.
To use them
- Put your arm into the Sock and take hold of one end of the skin
- Pull your arm out while pulling the skin in
- Some of the skin will now be inside the sock
- Now stick the rest of the skin down the outside of the sock
- The whole lot can then be rolled away.

After years of fiddling in gales trying to attach flimsy strips of plastic (which one day will get blown away) to skins, these are a nice elegant solution (makes one wonder why they hadn't been invented years ago). Well worth the the investment, but they would be improved by being a bit longer (at least for my 188cm skins, which requires precision folding) and a wrist loop to stop them going the same way as the flimsy plastic strips

Excellent! Very light and easy to use, and an improvement on the usual sheets. No more 'octopus wrestling' in the wind, and easier to use in any conditions. In particular I found them helpful in trickier situations, where I could apply the sock over the 1st third as I removed the skin from the ski, then neatly fold it over while removing the rest, meaning the skin is either attached or fully packed away at all times. Definitely less faff and a real 'why didn't I think of that before?! ' thing. Couple of things I found useful. Firstly, put skins in tail first, making it easier to re-apply tip first without unwrapping the whole skin (pretty obvious I guess), and secondly, making a small hole in each sock so that I could clip them into a small krab to prevent loss (also handy for hanging to dry).

I'm in the process of field testing these in Scotland during storm Dennis. Quickest skin to ski and vise versa I've had. A great product.

I have used these in the (snow) field and they're fab, so much quicker than using cheat sheets! Just bought a set for my boyfriend!
