The Katadyn Hiker Pro is a durable, lightweight glassfibre filter with a removable cleanable filter protector for good longevity and easy cleaning. This makes it an ideal tool for longer backpacking and trekking trips.

The Katadyn Hiker Pro has a 0.3 micron glassfibre filter to remove bacteria, giarda, cryptosporidium, cysts, algae, spores and sediments. It has a good output of around 1 litre per 50 strokes and the carbon filling actively improves taste and eliminates odours from the water. Connecting and disconnecting the hoses is made easy with Quick Connect fittings and the Easy Fill bottle adaptor makes filling your container fast and simple. p

As it is a Microfilter it does not remove water bourne viruses. For this you usually use a chemical additive to kill the virus.
