The Hope Handlebar Bayonet Clamp is a simple add-on to mount your Hope Vision R4 light on any handlebar. The clamp is opened and adjusted by two bolts (allen key required), with foam and rubber sleeves included to adjust fit to your handlebars. The lamp attachment uses the Hope QR bayonet system to quickly clip in and out. Angle is adjusted with an allen key.
Note: This bayonet clamp is only compatible with the Hope Vision R4, not the Hope Vision 1 Adventure.
Customer Reviews of Hope Handlebar Bayonet Clamp
If you already use Hope stuff, you’ll know that they only make the very best equipment. This bayonet clamp is a genuine spare that enables you to switch a Hope R4/R2 headlight unit between bikes quickly and easily.
I have an R4 light which needs to switch between two bikes and this makes my life a dream. Fast, easy to use and top quality as you’d expect from Hope. If you've never tried Hope stuff, you need to. Plus they’re British too🇬🇧!!
I'm a keen cyclist, riding every week on a variety of bikes.
As always with Hope this is a quality product. Not cheap, but from my point of view it is good to see something that is made to a high standard that will last. I've now got a mount on my mountain bike, my road bike and my gravel bike so I can swap my Hope light between them with no fuss.
Plus points: robust and well made
Negative: not cheap
This is a replacement for one I damaged in a big mtb prang. The light survived intact but the bracket took the pain.....which was really a game saver. Use another one everyday on my road bike which has been spot on for about 3 years (or since when the R4 was released!!)and it's rock solid. Allows multi positioning of the light; I run it centrally over the stem which saves space. The R4 fits in the bracket with a very high quality 'clunk'. This QR is quality just like all Hope stuff. Thanks Facewest for ace service, big choice, great pricing and reward scheme.
This is exactly the same clamp as you get in the original Hope R4 kit, so it's perfect for extending your system to another bike. It comes with two shims, one for oversize handlebars (i.e., most of them), one for the old standard size. Like all Hope components it is beautifully machined and does the job perfectly. Just a shame that, as a consequence, it's quite pricey. Also any chance of some colours Hope?
