Description
The Grivel Daisy Chain is an unusual design of climbing sling which is designed to overcome the problem of loading only the stitching of a traditional daisy. The problem with a traditional daisy comes when two loops are clipped to one carabiner - for instance to quickly shorten a belayer's attachment to the belay - at this point it is possible for the belayer to be not clipped through the full strength length of the daisy but instead through only the lower strength stitching between individual pockets.
In the Grivel design, each loop of the chain is a full strength short sling so you can shorten to your heart's content without worrying about reducing breaking forces.
Check out the video below and Stevie Haston will demonstrate exactly why Grivel decided to reinvent the daisy chain. Much clearer than a text explanation. Sorry about the sound in the first minute but stick with it, the important stuff is after that.

Customer Reviews of Grivel Daisy Chain
The extra length is great for clipping into belays with higher bolts, or equalising belays by clipping a draw into a lower loop, and putting the guide plate on another loop below. Made building belays more efficient on my last trip to the Italian alps.
Got this daisy chain and have used it on nearly every job since. Great piece of equipment- 5 stars.
Placed my order with Facewest mid week and used out on the rock today !. The Grivel Dyneema Daisy Chain is all the promo video said it would be. A super strong way to set up a belay, easy to adjust the length with no loss of strength at any point along its loops. Why as this not been done before ?. Great kit at a good price and looks very well made as is the norm for Grivel.
