The Deuter Speedlite 32 offers plenty of features and lots of flexibility. At 32 litres it is big enough to fit everything in for day hikes or lightweight multi-day trips. A really versatile pack that will end up on your back year-round for every activity.
The compression straps can double up as pole attachment straps or be used to cover the front of the pack to strap everything right down, allowing you to move comfortably without the contents shifting around. Mesh side pockets and an extra stretch front pocket is ideal to stow away essentials you may need quickly as you travel through the mountains. The back is close fitting for comfort and stability and is supported by a 'U' shaped Delrin frame that provides tension across the pack. For those really lightweight days, this is removable, together with the chest and waist straps.

Customer Reviews of Deuter Speed Lite 32
I think this will be a good sac for me. It replaces a much used Mammut 30 litre sac, so my comparison is with that. I am an experienced mountaineer with ML and SPA and lead guided walks for groups and teach navigation. The new sac will be mainly used for winter and summer hillwalking and sun rock climbing.
Likes- the Deuter is light, but still has an internal frame to transfer weight with a load in. The stretchy external pockets are good for jackets, gloves etc. I like the large lid pocket, with the zip in the right place ( ie facing my back, not halfway across the top of the lid, ( eg the Deuter Guide sac.)
The attachment points for poles/axe are good. I have added bungee to the 4 tie in points on the lid to carry walking crampons or eg jacket.I like the small pockets on the waist belt, for chewy bars etc.The sac is quite shallow from front to back, but with the taller shape, capacity is adequate.
Dislikes- minor niggles really. There is no strap for tying a rope on, so I have sewn on the one from my Mammut. For me, the straps on the waist belt and shoulders were far too long and whipping around in strong wind, so I have shortened them. The key clip is in the outside lid pocket. I have transferred it to the inner one, which doesn't normallyget opened until the end of the activity.
Delivery from Facewest was excellent.
