Customer Reviews of Climb On Balm
Great product. Works on cracked heels as well without slippy socks!
Fantastic product. Heals my hands overnight, I have also end up putting it on my childrens grazed knees.
I am not a climber but my brother is...
For the past few years I have suffered from very dry and sore patches and cracks on some of my fingers that at times have become so painful that I have resorted to supergluing them.
I have tried literally tens of different creams including steroids but none of them have have worked very well. My brother suggested that I try some of his ClimbOn cream, that he used after climbing, to see if it would help. I have been amazed with the results. There was a massive, noticeable improvement within the first few days that has got progressively better since.
I was so impressed that I went online and bought a tin and I have been recommending it to other people I know who have dry skin.
Amazing skin repair and moisture retention
Economical- a small amount goes a long way
Not greasy or gunky
If I had to give any minus point it would only be the price - but as it works so well and and you do not need to use much in each application, it offers very good value and I'm not really complaining. I bought a small tin as I wanted to carry it in my pocket. I will be buying a big one next time and I will decant some in to the smaller tin for portability.
I was initially sceptical about how useful 'Climb On Balm' would be, but I have been pleasantly surprised by its effectiveness in rejuvenating my skin overnight, when climbing on consecutive days. The balm itself hasn't crumbled in the pot or melted in high temperatures, and despite trying, I still haven't used up the smaller size.4 only because it's expensive, but I would buy again.
This is a great to use balm in a block. No messy creams to sqidge everywhere. Comes in a handy little tin to protect the block so making it easy to pop in the top of your rucksack.
Works really well on dry cracked fingers without stinging.Melts in with little rubbing and smells nice too!
I bought this to help with my hands from using the pull up bar and weights at CrossFit, it was recommended by 2 people at my gym.Broken skin is quickly healed using this balm and it's small enough to carry around in your pocket or bag, I have also been told it lasts ages so well worth the money.
I use this for my hands after climbing and it does a very good job of repairing the outermost layers of skin without softening my hands. It also has a pleasant, subtle smell to it.
The only downside is it is rather expensive, especially when compared to the US price (basically the same but in dollars).
The skin on my fingers dries out and cracks after a long session on the climbing wall; Climb On is the best post climb treatment I've come across. It's pretty greasy at first, but dries up in a few minutes.
Facewest price was good, (free) postage was quick - and my hands love it; it also seems to work well on light burns or other skin irritation
Excellent do it all balm. I travel light around the world trekking the balm repairs cuts, bites and rashes. It comes in a small tin which fits nicely into my 1st aid kit. As the balm is solid it doesn't melt in hot weather conditions.
I have been using Climb On Balm for skin repair to my hands. I mainly use it for my finger tips because of the damage that is caused to the from climbing, working as an outdoor pursuits instructor. Climb On Balm is the best product I have found for repairing splits in my finger tips. It also seems to act as a barrier cream which means that you can- climb on! The only word of warning I would give to users of this product, is not to apply it just before climbing on small polished holds or campus rails. However Climb On Balm is absorbed fairly quickly and if rubbed in well an hour or so before climbing seems fine. I also like the fact that Climb On Balm is made from all natural ingredients from bees wax to essential oils. I would recommend this product to anyone who is regularly trashing their skin!
Well as Facewest must know by the large number of orders for Climb On Balm that I place, It works ! Take my word for it. I have used all other brands, some good some not so good, but Climb On Balm is best by far. Wave good bye to dry, split hands and fingers. Fast to work with great results.
I get very dry hands from climbing and the general weathering they receive from living in Scotland. Climb On Balm is pretty much the only thing that is effective in treating it. It smells lovely and contains no synthetic chemicals. I really like the fact it is in solid form, though I wonder how it would behave at higher temperatures. It might seem like a pricey product for your hands, but if you get dry skin and it bothers you, it is well worth it. I'm on my second bar.
I ordered Climb On Balm after having read the reviews and because I have tried just about every other product for wrecked hands, mine get particularly bad with deep sore cracks. It comes in a small tin which is easy to carry. It smells mainly of bee's wax.
After having used it for a few days, my hands have significantly improved and I'm very pleased with the product. Clim on Balm will definitely become part of my kit list now.It is small but fairly long lasting, althouth you'd probably have to be careful that it doesn't get melty in warmer months or even in your interior pocket.
Top service from Facewest, as usual.
Recommended by a friend and it did wonders...sorted my hands out before Divided we Fall [ed: crossfit games!] after ripping both doing muscle ups. It's now in the crossfit survival pack! Wish I'd know about it when I was climbing.
I bought this based on reviews I'd read elsewhere online. My hands were taking a while to heal after bouldering and I thought I'd give Climb On a try.
Initial impressions were good, nice packaging and product had a pleasant smell. I felt it was a little greasy upon first application, however once rubbed fully into the skin its barely noticeable.
Most importantly, my hands are healing much quicker after climbing since using this, roughly twice as quick. I didn't quite expect it to work as well as it did, but I am very impressed.
Like most people, I was very sceptical about this magic balm that I had read so much about before trying, but I have to admit it is very good. It does seem to speed up the post climbing skin healing process, but also seems to speed up the recovery of minor cuts and grazes (I used it on my feet on holiday after a pair of ill fitting sandals nearly ruined my trip for me and was very impressed) the only negative is that is is quite greasy.
I live in flat country and the nearest climbing spots are about 1000km away, so I spend most of the year climbing indoor and just 2-3 times a year I do real climbing. I must say there's nothing worse than having to regularly skip couple of days of your 2week climbing trip for the sole purpose of healing your skin. Random skincare products didn't help and sometimes even did more damage making the skin too soft.
When someone suggested me this balm I was a bit sceptical, but still ordered 3 tins planning a heavy use. And it was a very pleasant surprise! Calluses are softer and don't tear off, skin doesn't split, cuts are less frequent and heal quicker and skin on fingertips last much longer. By the way, 1oz lasts very long time, so my other 2 tins went as a gift to fellow climbers.
I got this Climb On as a spare as I can't do without it. Keeps your hands in good working order. Excellent for healing blisters, cut, grazes, burns, anything else you can do to your hands that can hinder climbing. It appears to decrease healing times and keeps the area soft so you get less skin cracking when climbing on it. I use it on wherever, not just hands. Great for blisters on your feet! I suppose it is expensive but it does last for ages, but be warned, once you try it you will never want to be without one again.
I was dubious of the claims of this product, but now I'm a believer. As a part-time climber my fingers really haven't toughened up too well, so after my first bouldering session of the summer my fingers were a mess. This stuff worked its magic and I was ready for another day.I just went for the small tub but looks like it'll last a long time.Highly recommended.
I've been using Climb On for three weeks now and have got to say does keep your hands in tip top shape and is a particularly good soother.
I was surprised by its size, but it's turns out to be perfect for sticking in my pocket and a little goes a long way.
I bought this as a gift for my partner. He doesn't climb or anything, but he is a builder. Working with hard surfaces like rocks, rubble, sand etc, makes his hands really course and badly damaged after several hours labour.
Climb On Balm is a massive treat at the end of the day as it helps the cuts and soreness and instantly soothes rough skin. I got the smaller 0.5oz, which is very handy to keep in his already full bag, and dispite it's size, lasts a long time! Amazing! Definitely recommend it for so many more uses than climbing.
Well after a day on the rock my hands tend to dry and split before I even get home. Climb On Balm, Well its a bit like Ronseal, It does what it says on the tin ! Try it for yourself, its good.
I only started climbing a month ago and found it really tough on my hands. I did a bit of research and found Climb on. I have been using it 2 weeks now and all I can say is WOW! It is amazing stuff; I have ripped several holes in my hands and packed it with climb on, the next day my hands look and feel almost healed. (It can't make you grow skin faster but it soothes and in my opinion helps healing.) I have used it on other stuff too. Cat scratches, even the occasional spot or rash (this is not the recommended use but I found it worked for me).
This is the best hand cream I have ever used. It is not greasy and is quickly absorbed. It also provides great relief to cracked, scraped or blistered hands. I would recommend it to anyone who likes outdoor pursuits.
I have a very dry skin and have tried all sorts of different creams. My son recommended this cream and gave me a bit to try. It is excellent and I have recommended it to all my friends. I have also bought some as Christmas presents. Your service is also excellent, friendly and reliable. Thanks! Pam.
This stuff really is a god send especially after a hard days bouldering when you can find your hands shredded. apply this straight after and practically watch your hands replenish. smells good and isn't greasy which is a bonus.
Downside is the price per tub, but when you think of how long it lasts and how much extra climbing you get done its a no brainer really!
Again, bought this stuff for a weeks cimbing holiday to Kalymnos in Greece. Each day we climbed on super sharp grey limestone, each evening I put this stuff on, and each day my fingers felt as fresh as the day before. The rate at which it rebuilds your skin is incredible, and how much it rebuilds is crazy!
For the price, its a no brainer! Without the stuff I would have struggled after a day or two for certain!
Buy a few, keep one in your rucksack at all times, cant go wrong!
This stuff is excellent, have used it in the past and reordered as soon as I saw it was available. It is great for all kinds of dry skin problems, but best for cuts/splits on finger tips and knuckles. Fingers are in a much better state after only a week. This gets used throughout the winter season, not just for climbing injuries but for work injuries and cold weather dryness. Smells nice too.
