The Camp Alp Racing Harness is an ultralight harness designed for competitive ski mountaineering. Weighing in at only 92g this is the lightest UIAA/CE approved harness available. In that 92g you get a single, reinforced tie-in point, two minuscule gear loops and a pre-threaded buckle.
The Camp Alp Racing Harness uses innovative webbing with structurally transparent longitudinal yarns that allow for a wider cross sections and therefore greater comfort without increasing the weight - this harness will still be comfy to wear all day. You definitely wouldn't want to hang in this though so it's only for use ski touring or for easy-angled glacier travel. Using it for any other types of mountaineering probably isn't the best idea!

Customer Reviews of Camp Alp Racing Harness
The only issue I had with this harness was the sizing - I ordered the medium initially, having a 32 inch waist, and my leg measurements fitted the listed sizing for the medium. It was too small however, the leg loops aren't as big as stated, and the waist belt would only just buckle. Exchanged for the large and fit is perfect.
I bought this harness purely for ski touring for safety when travelling on glaciers, and for the odd rappel. It is surprisingly comfortable for hanging in for short periods! It is amazingly lightweight and packable which is exactly the qualities I was after.
I bought the Camp Alp Racing Harness as a lightweight harness for glacier travel and lightweight backpacking where it might get used occasionally for scrambling or short rock sections or an emergency.
It is amazingly small and light coming in at around 105g in it's stuffsac rather than the 92 grammes advertised. When backpacking light, volume is often as much an issue as weight and so the harnesses small packed size (about the size of an apple)appealed as much as it's light weight.
The leg loops are 45mm webbing and are pretty comfortable. It has the basic fit and feel of a normal climbing harness.
The Alp Racing Harness is stripped down to the absolute essentials for safety and I don't think you would want to be hanging around in it for extended periods - multi-pitch, multi-ab, hanging belays etc. For alpine work and longer climbing days a lightweight fully featured harness like the Hirundos would be better.
But if you are in the market for a tiny harness for occasional or emergency use then the Alp Racing Harness is perfect. I think it is brilliant.
