The Smartwool PhD Ski Ultra Light is a super-thin merino ski sock for use in warmer conditions or where you want a very close fit in tight boots. The 4 Degree Elite Fit System keeps the sock in place by using two elastics to give excellent stretch recovery. It features mesh ventilation zones specifically designed for optimum temperature regulation and the best moisture management. The 200 needle construction means that although the sock is thin and lightweight the fabric is high density which will improve its durability. These are a great choice for those wanting a non-cushioned sock, or for warmer spring use.
Indestrucatwool is a wool and yarn construction method used by Smartwool to create a wool and synthetic fibre blend which gives the best comfort and durabilty.

Customer Reviews of Smartwool Phd Ski Ultra Light
Great socks. Theses are essential if you have bootfitted ski boots. My bootfitter recommended these and I find them really good. Remember, the thicker the sock doesn't necessarily mean more warmth, they could cut off blood supply making your feet colder. I'm a size 9.5 and ordered the large. Initially I thought they were a bit tight but once I wore them for a while I realised I wad being fussy. Would highly recommend these. Facewest was the cheapest I could find these.
The Smartwool Phd Ski Ultralight is an excellent sock for performance fitted alpine ski boots, warm with good compression support and thin enough not effect the tight fit of my alpine ski boots.
