The Platypus Closure Cap is a cap which screws onto the thread on a Platypus Bladder, Bottle or Tank and seals it tightly and securely. This version is simply a screw on cap however we also sell a version with a Hoser Drinking Tube and one with a sports cap.

The caps are very nice and close the platypus so no liquid leaks out which is exactly what it is designed to do so a real winning product - what more can one say about a platypus cap? I recommend that everyone should carry 2 platypus caps with them on every expedition.

I'm a big fan of the Platypus soft bottles. I use mine for walking and wild camping, and I have four or five in different sizes. They are so light and roll up small when not in use. The closure caps can be lost however because they are not permanently attached. Having spares available makes sense. They are interchangeable between the different sizes of soft bottles. Worthwhile having in my opinion.

I didn't even realise you could buy replacement caps for my Platypus, so when I lost my old ones I was very pleased to find these replacements. And they are just the job even for my really old Platypus, with no leaks and no fuss - a direct, same quality as the original, replacement. Perfect. I'm very pleased to say that it meant I didn't have to buy a whole new Platypus bottle or two just because the old lids dissappeared. Especially as the old bottles are in perfectly good condition. A good price too (especially if you have two Platy's with missing lids!
