The Patagonia Torrentshell Jacket is a simply designed, lightweight, waterproof jacket that is environmentally friendy as the shell is made from a fully recycled nylon as well as being Bluesign approved.
It is constructed from H2NO Performance Standard shell, a very light and totally waterproof and breathable barrier with a DWR finish. H2NO is not the name of the fabric but a level to which it has been tested by Patagonia. It essentially is the level of performance required by Patagonia to be classed as waterproof and breathable. So H2NO comes in various weights and levels of durability.
The hood is two-way adjustable and features a laminated visor, it can also be rolled away if not required by using the cord and hook design. The back of the neck area has been lined with microfleece so it's comfortable against your skin. The front DWR treated zip features an external welt storm flap, an interior storm flap and a zip chin guard. There are two zipped handwarmer pockets and venting pit zips that all feature welted exterior storm flaps and DWR-treated zips. The cuffs and hem are both adjustable enduring you a comfortable fit and keeping the weather out. When the jacket needs to be transported, it cleverly stows inside its own handwarmer pocket and features a carabiner clip-in loop.
