The Patagonia Descensionist Pack 40 litre is a tough ski touring pack perfect for multi day trips, exploring the back country. The main body is constructed from a durable 420 denier 100% recycled Nylon Ripstop. The main body fabric is also BlueSign approved, making the Descensionist one of the most environmentally friendly packs out there. This two-compartment backcountry touring pack is made for going fast and light in the mountains without sacrificing the essentials. Holds a full kit, yet carries like a much smaller pack with dedicated compartment with quick access to snow safety tools.
The Descensionist features a breathable back system which provides support and structure while maintaining comfort when carrying larger and heavier loads. The hip belt is wide for evenly distributing the load, providing comfort over long days. It also features a small accessory pocket for essentials you want close to hand.
A wide opening roll top closure allows for easy packing, and helps the pack retain its shape with smaller loads and can be extended out to accommodate extra kit. The strap systems on the pack will carry pair of skis or snowboard in A-frame, vertical or diagonal configuration. There is also and external ice axe carry for more technical routes.
