The Patagonia Capilene Thermal Weight Zip Neck is a warm synthetic winter baselayer that provides excellent wicking and breathability. It is constructed from Polartec Power Grid which has a soft and warm interior for comfort and a smooth outer face to make layering easy. With Spandex added in the construction, it provides stretch to allow an excellent freedom of movement. The fabric also benefits from being Polygiene treated so it keeps fresher for longer.

All the seams are flatlocked, ensuring next to skin comfort and the shoulder seams are also offset, this eliminates chafing under pack straps. The deep venting neck zip provides excellent temperature regulation and is low bulk, so it won't become irritating under layers. It also features elastic thumb loops and a drop tail to give full coverage whilst the underarm gusset keeps movement unimpaired.

These tops are fab! I've had one for a year now and just had to have some more since they were on offer!

Comfy, warm, wick well, dry well and I don't feel cold in it when it is a bit sweated out. Don't smell much either which is a bonus... :) Even wear them when it's not too cold as I love being able to pull sleeves down when I stop on autumn days. Love the zip turtle neck as well.

Got 3 now and they're the only base layers I have!! Worth the higher Patagonia price in my opinion. I've had other Patagonia gear over the years and it always lasts really well. Still have my old Pat tops from nearly 10 years ago...still going strong (although a bit tatty...but hey!), but I prefer the new version.

All plus points, no minus at all.
