The Outdoor Research Alti Mitts are tough 2-layer insulated mitts intended for Arctic and 8000 meter peak use. Constructed with leather palms and Kevlar stitching the Alti Mitts are designed to withstand brutal conditions.
The outer layer of the Alti Mitts is a 40 denier ripstop nylon shell with a fully taped GORE-TEX waterproof layer. Elasticated wrists hold the gloves in place while in use and the SuperCinch Gauntlet creates a tight seal around the arm to prevent heat getting out and snow getting in. The outer layer also features a heat pack pocket for when all that insulation just isn't enough. Pittards leather palms and Kevlar stitching is used for total dependability in the absolute worst conditions.
The removable insulated liner is constructed from a lightweight ripstop nylon outer with 340g of PrimaLoft Gold insulation for maximum warmth and breathability. A Moonlight Pile Fleece liner in the palm is very efective at wicking away moisture which may bulit up during exertion, as well as providing additonal warmth.
