The Mountain Equipment Classic Range is Mountain Equipment's best selling selection of sleeping bags. They offer great value, all-round performance in a roomier, more generous sized design compared to their other ranges. The Classic 750 is ideally suited for camping and bivying in tough winter conditions.
The Helium outer is lightweight and breathable. The 700+ fill power Pure Duck Down insulation is contained in slanted Box-Wall baffles throughout the main body, this increases the bags thermal efficiency and improves down migration control. The Supersoft inner is soft against the skin as well as being breathable which helps you stay comfortable in the bag.
The Gemini zip baffle system replaces the bulky twin draft tubes, which are used traditionally on cold weather bags, by the baffle being incorporated in the sidewalls. This new construction is light, low bulk, efficient and protective. In addition, the bag also features an integrated and fully adjustable down filled neck collar. The Classic 1000 features a single handed Lode Lock closure with quick release, this is essentially two internal captivated magnets which automatically pull together and then lock into place, it prevents the bag from accidentally opening during your nights sleep. All these features contribute to retaining essential warmth whilst you are sleep.

Customer Reviews of Mountain Equipment Classic 750
I purchased my Classic 750 as an upgrade for my climb up Mount Kilimanjaro in July 2014. I'm 6ft3 (1.9m) tall, so I got an XL bag. This size was just fine for my body length and left me with room to spare, which adds to the overall comfort. I didn't have quite as much room to spare across the shoulders. The Facewest prouct description describes it a close fitting mummy design and for me, yes, it is. I couldn't comfortably place my arms/hands down by my sides when inside the bag without feeling some constriction. I'm roughly 56cm straight across the shoulders. It's a delicate balance for manufacturers, a close fitting design improves heat insulation but too close fiting also compromises comfort within the bag and therefore quality of sleep. The Classic 750 feels as if it is made rom good quality materials despite is more basic position within the Mountain Equipment product line. The hood and neck baffle can be cinched up to help keep you nice and snug should the conditions demand. Since the temparatures on Kilimanjaro were nowhere near as severe as I'd read I sort of rolled the hood up as a pillow. There are no internal pockets. On my bag the zip could have done with being a bit smoother. Smoothly zipping the bag open or closed in one fluid movement was definitely the exception, it always seemed to snag for one reaon or another.I don't feel I've been able to put the bags temperature rating to a good test, as previously mentioned the night time temperatures at camp on Kilimanjaro were not particularly cold. The coldest at break of dawn was 4C. The Classic 750 coped very well with that, I was very warm and never felt the slightest chill inside it. At lower camps I had to sleep with it half unzipped. My overall perception of the Classic 750 is of a very good quality, failrly simple but effetive sleeping bag. For me the XL size could do with being a little wider, us tall chaps are often bigger sideways as well as lengthways.
