The Mammut Light Removable Airbag is a lightweight airbag pack designed for lightweight tours or freeriding. At 28 litres it still has enough space for all your kit which is made easily accessible with the classic top loader design.

The Light Removable is aimed at tourers and freeriders who have been put off airbags by the weight penalty. Despite weighing in at just 1050g for the pack (not including airbag) it has all the features you'd expect from a touring and freeride pack - full list below.

This Short version of the Light removable pack has a shorter back length and is specifically adapted to female body shapes.

The 3.0 Removable Airbag differs from the Protection Airbag in that it's more of a large pillow shape known as a 'wing' that doesn't inflate around the head, so it doesn't offer as much trauma protection. It's advantages are that it is lighter, cheaper and takes up a bit less space in the pack. It's also a little easier to remove and install in the pack than the Protection Airbag.
