Description
The Dakine Kodiak is a premium glove providing warmth and protection from harsh mountain conditions as well as superb durability in rough terrain. It is the perfect choice for tough days skiing in harsh weather, allowing you to carry on without loss of dexterity or comfort.
Prittards Leather is a supple leather that allows for dexterity yet still provides superb durability as well as high levels of water resistance. A Gore-Tex insert provides an extra waterproof barrier without compromising the breathability of the Kodiak. Warmth is ensured through the use of a Primaloft insulation layer combined with a pure wool lining.
The Kodiak has a superb fit where articulation is achieved through using a Pre-curved finger construction. The elasticated baffle around the wrist holds the glove in place as well as providing additional protection. The cuff is closed with a tough leather tab secured with Velcro, securing this absolute bastion of a glove.

Customer Reviews of Dakine Kodiak Glove
I bought these to replace a similar all leather Dakine glove that developed a cut from carrying skis but had given great service for 6 seasons.
If you like a shorter glove that fits under the cuff of your ski jacket, then these are the ones to get. The stitching is good and the leather hard wearing but soft. The gloves have a velcro wrist closure which my earlier version did not have, (making it easier to get on and off) and a small loop inside the cuff which ideal for adding a wrist loop if needed. The Pimaloft insulation in the glove means they are a warm glove but to be honest that didn't get a fair test as the weather was so warm the week we skied. The wool lining is warm and is fixed securely inside the leather outer so does not pull out if your hands perspire, as has happened with other expensive gloves in Spring skiing conditions. The glove comes with a sachet of wax to further add o the waterproofing.
A great looking, hard wearing glove and well worth the price tag.
As ever with reviews, this is a first impression as I haven't used them yet. Bought to replace on older pair of Dakine gloves, the quality and workmanship looks as good as ever. If you don't want a gauntlet, these are great. No securing loops, so keep them on.
