Description

The Arva Plume is a lightweight and compact shovel with an aluminium blade and a super light carbon shaft. It's essentially a larger bladed version of Arva's Ultralight weight race shovel the 'Ultra'. The shaft of the Plume is 47cm, long enough to affect a quick rescue whilst keeping the weight to a minimum. The blade measures 24cm x 24cm which gives a reasonable surface area to clear snow, though an efficient technique would be needed in order be fast enough with the Plume. At just 380g the Plume shovel strikes a balance between fanatical lightness and actual usability.
