The Arcteryx Cerium LT Vest provides core body warmth and is intended as a mid layer but it can be used also used as an outer layer. This is a superb light weight vest for those that need to keep warm while working hard, whether walking, skiing or climbing in cold dry conditions.
Arcteryx use Down Composite Mapping (DCM) in the Cerium LT Vest. DCM is where Coreloft synthetic insulation is used instead of down in areas prone to moisture - collar and chin. These areas are also prone to down migration and the use of Coreloft eliminates this problem as it remains static within the jacket. The finest quality 850 fill European goose down is then used throughout the body where warmth is required the most. The Arato Ten outer is lightweight yet durable and benefits from a DWR finish to repel any moisture.
Designed as a mid layer it has a snug fit, is hip length and has an adjustable hem drawcord and a high collar. These features all contribute with keeping any unwanted drafts out. The two zipped hand pockets keep things secure and benefit from also being insulated, handy if your hands require a quick warm up.

Customer Reviews of Arcteryx Cerium LT Vest (Summer 19)
A quality down vest - thin enough to go under most jackets.Adds a nice bit of extra heat - but not in itself massively warm as its not that thick.
I tend to use it when its too cold for just a long sleeve merino wool top and hard shell - but too warm for a thick warm jacket such as my Montane Extreme jacket which is strictly for zero and below temperatures if actively walking.
The man made collar insulation feels quite good and makes sense - its almost impossible to stop some wetness coming in at the top of a hardshell coat. This way I get the warmth and lightness of down without the paranoia of getting it wet.
