Description
The Arcteryx Bird Head Beanie is a warm Merino/Acrylic blend hat. It has a cosy fleece band running around the inside of the hat to wick away moisture and to help keep your ears warm. It's great just to have in the top pocket of your pack or in your bouldering bag to pop on if the weather turns chilly. The off centre bird logo looks pretty cool on this well made beanie too.

Customer Reviews of Arcteryx Bird Head Beanie (Summer 19)
Have one of these hats already new one is a bit thinner but still love it. First time I've bought from facewest but great service no prob.
Fantastic, quick service. A comfortable well made beanie. The inner fleece band helps make it snug and warm whilst the unlined upper keeps your temp just perfect. The bird head design and knitted logo make for a smart, good looking beanie. It's a cracker!
I have been waiting for the new seasonArc'teryx Bird Beanie hat as I purchased one last year for my partner who thought it was perfect for walking out on the moors in the cold. The fleece band inside keeps your ears warm without overheating your head and the fit is very comfortable. Definitely a great addition to your outdoor kit.
The best beanie you'll ever own.
You might think that all beanies are created equal, but you obviously haven't tried one of these. They're so good that I have 2 of them. My old one has been through the wash a few times and is now a bit thinner, lighter and cooler - perfect for every day use or summer evenings in the hills. My new one is still thick and quite warm (but never too warm) - perfect for winter activities such as skiing. The fit on the beanie is excellent. I've worn it for everything from winter downhill skiing to spring ski touring to half-marathon running.
This beanie is an Xmas present for my brother who liked my 2014 model. It's very much the same just a new design. The quality and fit is still excellent. I love the way Arcteryx put there gear together to make it fit as if it weren't there. The one I have has started to bobble a little after a year or more but it's not bad to say there in and out of pockets all the time.
All in all I like this beanie so much I might upgrade myself.
Got the blue admiral/oxblood model, matches well with other arcteryx gear. Won't let you feel cold on negative temperatures, interior is well crafted, having a wool band that covers the ears. It's also quite light and was a bit tight for me in the beginning, ok now.
A nice low profile beanie which sits well under a helmet. The usual fleece headband around the ears does a good job of keeping the wind out and warmth in. Bizarrely large internal label for a hat - cut it out to stop your head itching!
This beanie is a great fit and yet another great product from Arcteryx. Excellent quality!
I have owned this beanie for a couple of years now, using it frequently (twice daily dog walking as a minimum but also plenty of other outdoor activity) and have found it great. It is compact enough to sit unobtrusively in a jacket pocket when not in use / when overheating. It was snug - verging on tight - when new, but this eased and fit has long been perfect. It does appear relatively thin on top (the interior fleecy 'sweatband' does not extend to the top of the head) but this has never appeared to allow a significant amount of wind in or to compromise warmth (I no longer have a particularly thick head of hair to assist it). I have often chosen not to pull a hood up in wet weather and the wool blend has kept things cosy even when wet. One of those great pieces of kit that quietly but effectively goes about its business day in and day out.
Nice color (oxblood) and excellent fit but it got a weakness though. On top it is a bit thin - so I'd suggest hood or a helmet in the wind or leave it at home.
Simple, warm hat of good quality with merino wool. Initial thoughts were the fit (one size fits all) was a bit tight for my size 56 head but when worn it's very comfortable and there is no feeling of wanting to remove it due to being itchy or restrictive, there is a nice low profile fleece band around the inner edge. It easily covers the ears and comes down at the back of the head making a snug fit. Not sure how it would feel on larger heads, 58>, maybe too tight.
It is warm but not bulky and will easily fit in your jacket pocket. Nice choice of colours too. Thumbs up.
As the famous advert brags about, !! It does what it says on the tin!!
Well my arcteryx hat is the same. It's warm, comfy and smart - worn on the hill and around the town.
Just the job.
Very nice beanie. Great and snug fit and the colour (oxblood) is awesome.
It is a bit thinner than I thought from the picture, but it is actually even better when used in activities where you tend to get warm. Also works well in everyday life, so it is warm enough.
The Arc'teryx Bird Head Beanie is kinda fashionable and perfect skull cap made from a Merino wool and acrylic blend so it is pretty warm and suitable for any cold weather activity plus it fits snugly under helmet. It really is tight fitting but still large enough to cover my ears entirely so I like it very much and i can recommend it highly.
I took this beanie as a gift from facewest with a Jacket. I love the this policy about the stock items. A great quality beanie with nice colors combination. Thanks facewest.
