The Arcteryx Proton LT Hoody is a lightweight, highly breathable, insulating softshell. Ideal as a mid layer when doing aerobic activities in cold conditions. Perfect for a variety of activities be it alpine, ice or rock.
Keeping you warm is the Coreloft Compact 80 insulation throughout the jacket. Coreloft Compact 80 is highly breathable insulation so the Proton LT can in many cases replace a fleece midlayer, providing additional windproofing. The Fortius Air 20 outer fabric has a DWR coating to provide weather protection whilst also remaining highly breathable to prevent overheating when you're working hard.
It has a trim fit, making it ideal as a mid layer, but it could also be used as an outer layer in warmer weather. The hood is helmet compatible and is also insulated. The No Slip Zip is an Arcteryx feature which works like a series of speed bumps down the zip so the zip doesn't slip from the position you put it in, even when it's not fully zipped up. There are also two hand and one chest pockets, as well as dual hem adjusters, to keep the warmth in.

Customer Reviews of Arcteryx Proton LT Hoody (Winter 19)
This is a slight departure for me anyway as most of the arcteryx lt type jackets that I have owned in the past have been fleece lined and not filled.
As such I have found it slightly warmer and more wind resistant but much more versatile for general use in the UK and haven’t needed to layer it with a shell as much.
Overall this is an excellent versatile mid/outer layer.
