The Mountain Equipment G2 Alpine Jacket is one of the most weather resistant softshells available. It is an ideal jacket for those long mountain days when you need a high level of protection from the elements without having to use your hardshell. It breathes superbly and the active cut of the jacket ensures your freedom of movement no matter what you are doing.

Made from Gore WINDSTOPPER and cut with articulated sleeves with seams that are taped on the outside to provide that exceptional level of weather resistance. Packed away in the collar is a Drilite Plus hood which gives a good level of protection from the elements should it be needed when the weather starts to turn. This truly is an exceptional softshell for use in the mountains and hills whether climbing, mountaineering or walking.

I bought the Mountain Equipment G2 Alpine Jacket in April 2007 and have used extensively over the 30 months I have owned it and I can honestly say it is the best piece of equipment I have ever bought, far exceeding my expectations.
If I had to find find fault or nit pick, I would like to see a centre outer pocket on the front of the jacket, but that's all I can think of. Other than that its a brilliant piece of kit. Buy one!
