The inov-8 Debrisgaiter 32 is a soft and lightweight runner's gaiter designed to keep dirt & grit from entering your shoe. On long runs the Debrisgaiter will keep your feet more comfortable and reduce the chance of blisters which makes them very popular with ultra runners and adventure racers. The Debrisgaiter also stops plants like heather undoing your shoe laces whilst running.
The Gaiter is constructed from Polyamide and has a DWR finish to repel some water but it is not waterproof. The front of the gaiter has a lace hook to stretch it out and replaceable rubber straps under the heel to keep it in place.

Only used these once so far so not really sure how to rate them. They do seem to work at keeping the muck out of your shoes just not sure how long they'll last. They're very elastic so fit quit snugly around your ankles but don't hamper movement in any way, so are very comfortable to wear. There's a hook to fit into your laces and a kind of rubber band that goes under the foot, this looks very flimsy but is replaceable. I used them on a cold December day in the Ochils with lots of splashing through bogs and they did help keep my feet warm. Maybe too warm for summer use? Only time will tell.
Most of my running is on trail or off-road. Gaiters keep the dirt and small stuff out of my shoes. Inov-8 Debrisgaiter is a light and flexible, does to job excellent. Won't stop water but i have other gaiters for that. The rubber string that goes under your shoe is crap, but very easy to change to a better one.
I'm in training for the Spine Challenger race in January and these are a welcome addition. They are easy to use and put on providing extra protection from mud and small stones. They do stop bits getting in and help keep your feet clean. I only wish I had bought some earlier.
I use these to keep small stones out of my Salomon trail shoes (non Goretex), inspired by Andrew Skurka (professional backpacker). They work really well. The size is ok and they are pretty easy to put on even though I have big feet. I now have a well ventilated (but not waterproof) kit for hiking on sunny days. The hook on the front is really useful to secure the gaiters to the shoe. I wish the rubber strap was a bit thicker, but it hasn't broken so far. Soft and comfy, not too warm. Light and well made. Reinforced around the hook and straps. I'm happy with my purchase although they could cost a bit less in my opinion... If my shoes were Goretex, I would have bought waterproof gaiters instead. Now I wanted something well ventilated that dries quickly, and these complement my non goretex shoes perfectly.
Good lightweight, low profile trail gaiters. WHilst easy to attach and seem to hold ok, the lashing feels fairly lightweight and doesn't fill you with confidence that they will last through rocky/sbrasive terrain. The seal around the top of the gaiters is good though and I had no problems with any infill of trail when using in the UK. Have only used these in dry conditions so unsure of how they would perform in the wet
Excellent product - does exactly what I needed it to - keeping mud and grit out of my trainers when running off road.
The fit is snug and the bottom edges of the gaiters don't ride up on the trainers at all. As others have said - not sure how long the rubber bands will last, but they can easily be replaced.
A great product to go with trail shoes/trainers, recently used on the Welsh 3000's to keep all manor of scree out of my socks and shoes and has proved equally useful in the Peak District at keeping out heather! Theres a sung but not overly tight fit around the ankle and good lace coverage, great for summer and shoulder season use when anything more robust and bulky would just be overkill. How durable the underfoot straps are time will tell as they are pretty thin, although you could replace with anything from shoe laces to elastic bands as they just loop through a velcro attachment point.
Have had troubles getting small rocks and trash into shoes, while running in woods. Hoped these gaiters would solve the problem and they really work, without getting too hot feet. Now can enjoy running without continuous breaks to remove unwanted things from shoes, really good and can recommend for people running in paths. Keeps also ankles dry in light rain. Only downside I can think is those rubber strings will not last long.
The inov-8 All Terrain Gaiters are very simple and effective product to keep everything out of your shoes. They are not waterproof but still could be used to prevent water going into your waterproof shoes from the top.
The fit and functionality is what I was looking for. Stretchy material, easy to put on and soft cuff. That means they are comfortable and keeps ankles warm to reduce injuries of cold joints and muscle.
They are great product and work well, but I think the rubber bands are their weakness and will break quickly especially over rocky terrain. Fortunately they designed them that way that rubber bands can be purchased separately as spare parts or could be made at home and be replaced easily.
They have the lace hooks as well so the front upper part is hooked to your shoelace to fit properly to cover the lace knots. That system fits shoes that don't have lace-gaiter integrated and the laces are outside (ability to attach the hook). Otherwise they are worth the money!
