What is the Facewest Blog?
A blog or weblog to give it it's unabbreviated title is an
online diary. It is a series of messages or posts that are displayed in chronological
order, newest first. Facewest writes them in order to give bloggers (those who
read blogs) information about Facewest, it's products and related issues (snow
conditions, relevant articles etc). The main purpose is to add a friendly face
to an otherwise impersonal website. Wouldn't you rather buy something from someone
you knew? ANYONE can have a blog (and it's free) and you can say ANYTHING you
want, but the Facewest blog is really targeted at the adventure sports connected
to our website and the products we sell.

What is an RSS Feed?
RSS feeds are a bit more technical, the BBC definition is
'RSS allows you to see when sites from all over the internet have added new
content. You can get the latest headlines and articles (or even audio files,
photographs or video) in one place, as soon as they are published, without having
to remember to visit each site every day.'. There are loads of websites
about RSS as it's the new hot potato on the internet. (In fact, if I understand
it, it's the OLD hot potato and I haven't heard of the new one yet!)
The Facewest RSS feed lists the posts on the Facewest Blog and shows you whether
you have read them or not. Allowing you to keep up with goings on with the minimal
of effort. You need a news reader to do this but you will discover more about
these if you research RSS feeds. In truth the Facewest feed is Atom not RSS
but they can be treated the same.
2 things that I will always post on the blog are new products and items that
have been put on sale. Allowing you to get the latest great products and some
good bargains. It's a bit like a newsletter but you only look at it when you
want to, and we don't send you spam emails.
To sign up to the RSS feed close this window and drag the orange XML symbol,
, into the channel
box of your news reader.......bloody nerds, they never make anything easy do
they?
