Wild Country's Technical Friends are the original caming device, though the rigid stem has now totally gone. Developed and refined over 30 years this is probably the best selling cam in the world.

Friends are easy to place because of their ergonomic design, they fit in the hand well, and have an unrivalled range from 10mm to 100mm that will hold even in flared cracks. These precision engineered cams come in various sizes, with the middle sizes 2-3½ being the most popular, which are particularly useful on Gritstone climbs. The smaller sized Friends excel on harder routes where their placement may well make the route a lot less intimidating and might well save your neck.

I love my Technical Friends. Easy to place, with a smooth action and superb machining. They've been pushed out of the limelight by the arrival of the new helium friends, but take this as an opportunity to grab a bargain or complete your set whilst you can.
