Trangia Stoves

Trangia stoves are fantastically simple with no moving parts, valves or tubes. Their simplicity gives them great reliability. Constructed from aluminium with a lightweight burner unit the stove sets are incredibly light for their pot size and cooking capacity. Trangia stoves needs a good air supply to work well and the key to them is the perforated windshield. Turn the holes in the lower windshield to face he wind for a good flame but turn then away from the wind in really strong storming conditions to help regulate the flame. The upper windshield covers nearly all the pot when in use so the stove is efficient with not much heat lost to radiation. A stormproof design. The burner unit is a simple cup with holes around the edge. The surface fuel evaporates and is diffused around the edge of the cup to give a gas burner shaped flame. There is an adjustible cover to regulate the flame for more delicate cooking.
