The Trab Polvere is a light and efficient touring & backcountry ski with plenty of width underfoot. Using carbon in the core has acheived the holy grail of a really light, stiff wide bodied ski. Stu skied them at the end of last season and was amazed at the performance.

The Trab Polvere is a ski that can be used for touring, but has enough downhill capability to be used as an effective lightweight backcountry ski.

By using Carbon in the construction this ski gets a unlikely mix of lightness and stiffness, making this a great (but expensive) all rounder. With 88mm under foot it can float well in powder and will climb very well due to it's low weight.

Freeride:
We give this 2 stars. Too light for serious downhill performance.

Backcountry:
5 stars. A good downhill capable backcountry ski. Will be appreciated by those who favour a lightweight ski. If you want to get as much powder vertical in a day, this ski should be on your shortlist. Going to be a little challenged in hard-pack conditions.

Touring:
5 stars. A great choice. Light enough to climb well, with very good downhill capability.

Facewest Verdict:
A great ski for the lightweight ski tourer / backcountry skier who also demands good downhill performance. Comes at a price premium.
