The Thermarest NeoAir Trekker is a more durable version of the much acclaimed NeoAir, providing the same comfort yet with improved wear resistance. This makes it ideal for the light weight backpacker and trekker who requires the proven qualities of the NeoAir but with the piece of mind that it will stand up to harder knocks over a longer period of time.
The NeoAir Trekker is constructed using a Triangular Core Matrix that provides greater warmth than other uninsulated air mattresses but also provides the unique stability of the Thermarest NeoAir range. The durability comes from the use of tougher Polyester outer fabric, though the down side to the Trekker is that it weighs more so the dedicated light and fast person should consider the original NeoAir (please see related products).

Thermarest NeoAir Trekker Review
Reviewer: Amory Cuvenor, Melbourne (7-3-2012)
I have this and the original NeoAir made of thinner material. While heavier, this is very tough by comparison and does not make the crinkle sound when you move on it.
Not suitable for winter unless you use another insulated layer underneath. It's not particularly grippy, so can move around on a slippery tent floor.
Very comfortable, especially when compared with a closed cell or traditional thin self-inflatable.
If you don't mid a few extra grams and need durability, this is great. Recommended.

Thermarest NeoAir Trekker Review

Well worth considering getting the large size if, like me, you're over six feet and move around a fair bit in your sleep. The narrower regular size is pretty narrow and just supports your width if lying straight and still. The large seems no bigger in terms of pack size, but it's got much more room to turn over on. very, very comfortable and light. I've only deducted a star as a hundred quid plus is a lot of money for a mat in my opinion, but as it'll last for years I shouldn't really grumble.
