The Suunto X6 retains all the tried and tested features of the Vecore but delivers
them in a new stylish and slightly slimmer body with an easier to read display.
The
Suunto X6 is a valuable aid and training tool for any cross sports enthusiast
such as a mountaineer, hiker, cross-country skier or mountain biker. It features
Alitimeter, Barometer, Inclinometer, Stopwatch, Compass and Logbook. Other options
include Heart Rate monitor and choice of display styles.
The logbook and
PC interface allow you to download a detailed account of your activity. You can
chose to log your altitude and elapsed time every 10 secs or every 60 secs depending
on the sport and profile detail you require. The logbook will also display your
cumulative ascent during your training session.

times and adjustable alarm for interval reminder
The altimeter and compass
make this a superb navigation aid for all mountain sports.
The barometer allows
for weather forecasting.

Deeper Understanding
The Suunto Activity Manager software links Suunto X6 to a PC and makes it easy to visualise your training data. It is a great tool for keeping a training diary and creating your own activity reports by adding photos and text to the visualised profiles.The image opposite shows a screen dump from Activity Manager of a typical log downloaded from the watch. This graph shows Altitude against Time for a mountain bike ride. Each section of the chart can be expanded to show individual Sample data.
