WARNING - The batteries for the 6 series watches need to be installed correctly to avoid damaging the battery retaining spring. Please read the instructions and follow the diagram very carefully in the manual. Earlier manuals do not highlight the problem very well but the diagram gives the necessary information. Incorrect installation will lead to screen damage (weeks later) and an invalid warranty.

A hundred words minimum to review a replacement battery! Well here goes. This product does exactly what it says on the tin, it is just what you require when that flat battery icon appears on your Suunto. Facewest make it incredibly easy to order the correct battery for your watch, the price cannot be beaten in my honest opinion and the delivery time is awesome. The pack not only comes with a new battery it also comes with a new battery cover and tool for removing the old one (depending on watch type). I have used this company four times for replacement batteries for my Sunto Metron and X6HR and have had a perfect experience every time.

All you need to change the battery on your Observer. Simple to fit, it only take a matter of seconds. And you have peace of mind knowing that you have fitted a new battery cover too.

New battery for my Suunto S6. Arrived quickly, with tool for changing the battery. Changing battery is no problem, just need to remember that the little tab needs to go on top of the battery to make the connection. Will order again in a few years when this battery runs out.

Everything you need to get your Observer up and running again. The kit comprises battery, battery cover (with new seal) and opening tool. The new cover/seal I think are important; there was a lot of gunge (dead skin!) to be removed from the seal seating. I left the watch with the battery cover off for a couple of days before re-fitting as I had been getting some misting up under the glass. We'll see if this has sorted it.

As a battery, it is fine. Changing the battery is easy by using the kit supplied with the battery. My only issue is with the battery life, which is probably due more to do with the watch design than the efficiency of the battery I rarely use the extra features of the Suunto watch, but still need to renew the battery at least twice per year.

I have had my Suunto observer for about 4 years now and whilst I am quite please with the watch I must say that I'm on my third replacement battery and I'm about to order my third strap. Perhaps it’s because I'm a sailor and I use it in sometimes extreme conditions that I get through so many parts!

I’m on my second replacement battery for my Suunto Observer in about 5 years. This battery kit is pretty good and comes with new cover and sealing ring. It isn't too hard to fit although the old cover can be a little tricky to remove if it has been caked in with grime - a little help with a small sharp knife worked for me. Other than that no problems. And not a bad price to pay to keep your Suunto running for another couple of years.

I bought this kit, not so much for the battery, which is readily available elsewhere, but because the screen of my Observer had started to mist up when exercising. After already replacing the battery a couple of times (they last about a year each time) I suspected the O-ring seal maybe causing the problem. It's a little tricky to get it to sit properly before replacing the cap and I'm sure I'd caught it a couple of times upon closing. Since using the replacement, I still get a slight fogging but nowhere near as bad as before I changed it. A tad expensive for what it is, but still reassuring to find that spares can be bought 7 years down the line from initially purchasing the Observer.
