The Sea To Summit Ultra-Sil Day Pack is a super lightweight, simple and compact 20 litre pack with a single zipped closure compartment. An ideal companion for trips away or as a secondary lightweight pack. It is constructed from a durable Cordura Ultra- Sil fabric which is siliconised so it will repel light rain. The bar tacks at the packs stress points are reinforced which enables the Ultra-Sil Day Pack to carry loads that far exceed its own weight.
The shoulder straps are reinfored and are ergonomically designed making the pack more comfortable when fully loaded. At the base it features a small daisy chain, ideal for clipping a light to. It also comes supplied with its own stuff sack ensuring it packs down small, and it also has a handy carabiner so you can clip it to your main pack or just put it in your pocket so you're never caught without an extra bag.

I like doing long backpacking trips in Arctic Scandinavia often carrying two weeks food at a time, at that weight I don't want any extra. I often leave the tent up with all the heavy gear in it and just go off for an explore, I wanted something to put my waterproof etc in this pack seems ideal. It rolls up into a pocket and is smaller that the size of your fist so it takes up no room at all and weighs in at 67g, that's not going to break the camels back. Un-rolled there's just one compartment with a zip closure, big enough for a set of waterproofs and few other bits just for a day walk. It's made of rip-stop nylon so wouldn't stand up to heavy day after day use but for the odd lightweight trip it should be fine.
This kind of gear is very useful when we travel in low cost companies. They put a very small limit in hand luggage but with this we can easily expand our carrying volume and weight immediately after landing.
I also use mine in everyday life to have always an extra bag and avoid to pay plastic or paper bags that would never carry the same weight as this incredible backpack.
Great idea. I highly recommend it.
Everyone should have one of these. On a recent backpacking trip I used mine for day walks from a base camp (allowing me to leave my heavy rucksack behind whilst still carrying the essentials - food, water, rain jacket etc) with me. I also used it as carry on luggage on the airplane to carry valuables. This gives a lot of flexibility as you have a fully usable daypack for very little weight which takes up hardly any space when packed. It's also a very well designed product. As the pack is very thin and light, you will need to give some consideration to how you pack it so it is comfortable to carry. I found that folding a rain jacket up and placing it in the day pack immediately against your back (providing a cushion for any larger or awkward objects) makes for a more comfortable carry. I think the product also has a number of other useful applications and will be using mine just for general shopping etc. My only minor criticism is that it is a very tight squeeze to get the daypack stowed in its pouch (which could do with being slightly larger to accommodate the straps, zips etc).
