The Raid bottle with drinking tube is designed to be put on the shoulder strap of your pack so all you need to do it grab the tube and drink. Unlike reservoir systems where the bladder is in your sack, you can very quickly refill the bottle from a local water source and keep an eye on how much you have drunk. The Raid Bottle system is less fiddly and more robust than most reservoirs and if the tube freezes up in winter you can unscrew the lid and drink out of the bottle
