The Rab Womens Vapour rise Jacket offers an excellent balance between breathability and wind resistance and is a light softshell that is suited to trekking and walking in the mountain environment.
Vapour Rise essentially is the combination of Pertex Equilibrium and a micro fleece wicking inner. The very light fleece offers a reasonable level of insulation for a light garment but it's principle task is to wick moisture quickly from you to the outer fabric. The outer Equilibrium incorporates a denier gradient that enables rapid moisture dispersal and is highly breathable. This combination of the two fabrics is perfect for those that are working hard and demand a level of comfort.

- Detachable, fully adjustable rollaway hood secured to collar with zip and Velcr
- Foam interlined wired peak
- 2 zipped hand warmer pockets and 1 zipped chest pocket
- Full length 2 way zip
- Adjustable laminated Velcro cuff tabs
- Collar drawcord to help keep out the elements when hood is not in use

I brought this jacket as I already have the Rab photon jacket which in chillier autumn and warmer winter days is to warm for my needs the vapour rise is brilliant as it is cut comfortably and has a lower profile fit than the photon allowing it to be a light add on layer or to be warn on its own when its windy as it is windproof. I really like the hood on this jacket as the fleece material inside makes it really warm and comfy on your head and is very adjustable. The only weakness I find is that if I try to wear a fleece under this jacket the 2 fleece materials make the jacket hard to put on.

An amazing jacket - lightweight but still keeps any wind out. A perfect jacket for Spring through to Autumn. I love the fabric - lovely and soft (not hard and nylony!)
